MORE ABOUT THIS GDS MATT COATED 120 GSM PAPER…
GDS Matt Coated 120gsm Paper is a high quality, bright white, coated, smooth, matt finish presentation paper that is ideal for printing presentation work on your Canon TA-30 printer with a higher end feel than basic uncoated paper. To describe it in basic terms, it is about the weight of a decent writing paper. It is ideal for client presentations when you need your line drawings and designs to have that extra special edge. Coated paper has an invisible layer on the surface (like a super fine matt varnish) which grabs the wet ink as it hits the page during printing and keeps a ‘tight’, bright & vivid print to add to the soft, smooth feel when handled. This paper will take a little more ink than the 100gsm version, meaning you can use this grade to print colourful designs such as portfolio plans and designs or light coverage wallcharts or posters.
Our GDS brand rolls are made for us by outstanding manufacturers including Océ, Canon, and Xerox to give you the very best quality at the lowest price possible.
GDS holds huge stocks of printing paper and media in our North West warehouse. If you are not sure what you need just give the GDS Sales Team a call on 01625 613548 and we will be happy to advise and recommend a product to perfectly match your printer and your requirements.
What paper types you can use on the Canon TA-30 Printer…?
GDS stocks a huge range of paper and media in rolls and sheets and we know exactly what fits your CanonTA-30 Printer and what doesn’t!
The Canon TA-30can print on a wide range of media. The new pigment ink system in this printer makes it a versatile model for architectural, construction, designers, schools, retailers, and many more, printing plans, layouts & technical drawings as well as stunning quality presentation designs, portfolios, posters, wall charts, and banners. The pigment ink also allows you to print a slightly heavier coverage print on a lighter paper. The Canon TA-30 can also print borderless on heavier weight roll media (no margin – print edge to edge) allowing you to print posters and images on the full sheet size.
Whether you need TA-30 CAD paper (uncoated basic plain white paper) for printing technical drawings and layouts, TA-30 Presentation paper (coated with a unique inkjet layer to give a higher quality print), TA-30 Heavyweight paper, or TA-30 Photo Paper to make sure your images look tip top, we can pinpoint the roll or sheet pack for you. We have put together a selection of the most popular rolls and sheets for you to choose from, with total peace of mind for excellent print results.
The rolls we suggest for the Canon TA-30 printer are supplied on a 2 inch core (50mm) (this is the tube in the centre of the paper roll which slides onto the printer spindle) – cores come in two standard sizes 50mm (2″) and 76mm (3″) but the Canon TM-30 can only handle 2 inch cores.
Our TA-30 paper range should give you a paper product that is suitable for any of your print jobs. Our most popular papers are:
- 80gsm Uncoated Paper – basic line drawings
- 90gsm Uncoated Paper – slightly heavier for in house line drawings maybe with a bit of colour or the odd fill
- 112gsm Tracing Paper – where translucent prints are needed for overlays
- 110 micron Double Matt Film – a polyester translucent tracing film with water resistance and anti-rip robustness
- 90gsm Matt Coated Paper – great budget roll for smart plans
- 100gsm Matt Coated Paper – perfectly smooth for that higher quality presentation feel when showing clients your plans and layouts
- 120gsm Matt Coated Paper – a heavier feel for smarter prints or 3D renders – great for portfolios or when the prints might be handled more often
- 165gsm Matt Coated Paper – smart poster paper with a robust feel, capable of handling heavy inks loads for full coverage and images
- 180gsm Matt Coated Paper – same as the 165gsm but some customers prefer the specific 180gsm weight
- 190gsm Satin Photo Paper – a lovely sheened surface without too much glare – great for wall posters – the sharpest most vivid colours and a really professional result
- 190gsm Gloss Photo Paper – same as the Satin but this one has a very high gloss surface
What Paper sizes fit the Canon TA-30 Printer…?
The TA-30 is an A0 size (36″) desktop printer (floor stand available as an optional extra), the smallest A0printer in the Canon imagePROGRAF wide format range. It can take rolls up to36″ wide /914mm and up to 50mts long (uncoated or plain paper). The Canon TA-30 can also handle sheets – these need to be loaded individually. Here is an overview of the standard sizes of wide format paper rolls and sheets and the size of prints you can use them for. Sizing varies between traditional CAD sizing where true ISO sheet size is required from rolls and graphics sizing which is almost always oversized. Where a roll accommodates 2 sizes you can print both by simply turning your print to landscape.
