Our GDS Matt Textured Fine Art Paper is a textured 'cartridge type' paper designed to suit the needs of photographers and artists using digital photographic inkjet machines who want to achievefine art quality. This paper mimicks water colour art paper with the appearance of a traditional cartridge paper and provides excellent image sharpness and optimum colour graduation with a soft natural white base. Made from 25% cotton GDS Matt Textured 300gsm is a versatile textured, natrual white, heavyweight, all purpose, matt paper which feels great in the hand and with what we call excellent 'ping'! quality. A very accommodating best seller. Perfect for fine art reproduction, wedding and emotional or life photography and limited edition prints.

NB - we find that whilst this roll loads perfectly on single roll Canon PRO-2000 printers, it is not happy being loaded on the second roll on dual roll machines. For easiets loading always leave the badn around the roll whilst loading and load on Roll 1.

WHAT PAPER & MEDIA TYPES YOU CAN USE ON THE CANON PRO-2000 PRINTER...?

GDS stocks a huge range of paper and media in rolls and sheets and we know exactly what fits your Canon PRO-2000 Printer.

The Canon PRO-2000 12 colour Photo Printer can print on a very wide range of media from basic papers, to presentation matt, heavyweight matt, satin or gloss photo paper, backlit film, canvas, fine art papers, roller banner, self adhesive, vinyl and even outdoor banner to name the most popular.

The Canon PRO-2000 can print onto roll paper or you can indivudally load paper sheets to use sheet media. We much prefer roll fees and we should be able to supply roll paper in your chosen media type.

The Canon PRO-2000 takes rolls on both 2" or 3" inch core (the core is the tube in the centre of the roll) and you will find blue core adaptors that come with the printer. These can be clipped on to the spindle to fill out the 3 inch core rolls.

You don't have to use Canon branded papers. You will usually find a 'near enough' media setting on the Canon PRO-2000 media list on the printer display, but you can also use the Media Configuration Tool to download more Canon branded media types or to custom build your own specific paper setting. Likewise, you can also download IIC profiles for this printer if you choose to use fine art brands such as Innova, Canson, Hahnemuhle, etc.

• • 112gsm Tracing Paper- where translucent prints are needed for overlays

• • 100gsm Matt Coated Paper- perfectly smooth for that higher quality presentation feel and client presentation of light ink coverage prints

• • 120gsm Matt Coated Paper- a heavier feel for smarter prints or heavier designs - great for portfolios or when the prints might be handled more often

• • 165gsm Matt Coated Paper- smart looking poster paper with a robust feel, capable of handling heavy inks loads for full coverage and images

• • 180gsm Matt Coated Paper- similar use as the 165gsm but some customers prefer this specific 180gsm weight

• • 190gsm Satin Photo Paper- a lovely sheened surface without too much glare - the sharpest most vivid colours and a really professional result

• • 190gsm Gloss Photo Paper- same as the Satin but this one has a very high gloss surface

• • 250gsm Studio Matt Paper - a high quality matt photo paper for full coverage prints and superb images

• • 260gsm Satin Photo Paper - probably the most popular roll ever for the Canon PRO-2000

WHAT PAPER SIZES FIT THE CANON PRO-2000 PRINTER...?

The Canon PRO-2000 A1 size (24") printer can take rolls up to 24" wide / 610mm and up to 90mt long (15cms diameter).

Here is an overview of the standard sizes of wide format paper rolls and sheets and the size of prints you can use them for. Sizing varies between traditional CAD sizing where true ISO sheet size is required from rolls, and graphics sizing which is almost always oversized to allow designs with a bleed for trimming. Where a roll accommodates two sizes you can print both by simply turning your print to landscape.

CAD PAPERS FOR TECHNICAL DRAWINGS (not usually associated with the PRO-2000, but no reason why not!)

• • 297mm - this is available in only a few product ranges and is the exact width of the long side of A4 or the short side of A3

• • 420mm -this is available in only a few product ranges and is the exact width of the long side of A3 or the short side of A2

• • 594mm -this is available in more product ranges and is the exact width of the long side of A2 or the short side of A1

• • 610mm - this is readily available in nearly every product range - it is oversize so when printing A2 or A1 scale drawings you would have a small margin
