We stock uncoated CAD plotter paper in two basic weights 80gsm and the more popular 90gsm. Here is a brief history to explain why…..Traditionally users such as architects, engineers and construction firms favoured 80gsm, as this grade not only folded very well but was also the least expensive to post with Royal Mail. Nowadays, as plotters have developed and colour work is pretty much standard for all prints, the 90gsm has become the standard more popular product and is often cheaper as we buy more from our suppliers. We tend to recommend the 80gsm for monoline drawings and the 90gsmversion for customers producing colour line work and block fills, as it will accept a little more ink without cockling.
Both weights are available in rolls and sheets, with the rolls having a 2 inch core (50mm). Roll lengths are 45mt, 50mt or 90mt. 45mt and 50mt length plotter rolls will fit all modern inkjet printers and 90mt will fit larger HP machines and all Canons and Epsons that have roll feed.

If you are looking for a higher quality paper for client presentations or to achieve sharper prints, then have a look at our GDS Coated Paper– these papers have an invisible inkjet coating laid over the face of the paper which grabs the wet ink as it hits the page keeping a more vivid, tighter print. The coated rolls will have a smoother feel in the hand and will give more vivid colour and brighter, ‘tighter’ prints than uncoated stock.
