GDS Double Matt Film is a translucent polyester based inkjet film, commonly used by the architectural and engineering markets for printing plans, layouts and overlays. See more in the Product Description tab below.
GDS Double Matt Film is a translucent polyester based inkjet film, commonly used by the architectural and engineering markets for printing plans, layouts and overlays. In basic terms, it is ‘plastic tracing paper’ with water resistant and tear-resistant properties. For many years this product has been referred to as ’75 micron film’, ‘F075’ or ‘DesignJet Film’. The manufacturer’s recommendation is printing with pigment based inks – the HP T120 has a pigment based black (the colours are dye based) and so by referring to the T120 printer User Manual and selecting a Matt Film setting for a black only print, you should be able to achieve a good print result. GDS Double Matt has an inkjet coating on the front and a matt drawing surface on reverse side allowing users to make changes and amendments to their printed plans. It is fast drying and smudge resistant.

The HP T120 is an A1 size (24″) desktop printer, the smallest A1 printer in the HP DesignJet wide format category. It can take rolls up to 24″ wide / 610mm and up to 50mt long (10cms diameter). The HP T120 can also handle sheets – the cassette can be loaded with A3 or A4 paper to feed continuously or you can load A2 or A1 sheets individually. Here is an overview of the standard sizes of wide format paper rolls and sheets and the size of prints you can use them for. Sizing varies between traditional CAD sizing where true ISO sheet size is required from rolls, and graphics sizing which is almost always oversized. Where a roll accommodates 2 sizes you can print both by simply turning your print to landscape.
