The HP DesignJet Z9+ series printers take the HP 747 pigment based ink cartridges. The HP 747 ink cartridges are designed to achieve high-contrast colour with chromatic HP Vivid Photo Inks and work in hamrony with the high-definition HP printheads. HP 747 inks produce fade-resistant prints to last over 200 years (in dark storage – see HP for specific details). Prints will also have a good degree of water resistance – media dependent (we always recommend over laminating for longer term outdoor use although the correct media setting and the correct outdoor media can have very good results without lamination. The Z9+ models offer the ability to achieve higher quality with fewer inks to help lower your printing costs and the cost of replacing your consumables.
