The HP DesignJet Z9+ series printers take the HP 747 pigment-based ink cartridges. The HP 747 ink cartridges are designed to achieve high-contrast colour with chromatic HP Vivid Photo Inks and work in harmony with the high-definition HP printheads. HP 747 inks produce fade-resistant prints to last over 200 years (in dark storage – see HP for specific details). Prints will also have a good degree of water resistance – media dependent (we always recommend over laminating for longer-term outdoor use although the correct media setting and the correct outdoor media can have very good results without lamination. The Z9+ models offer the ability to achieve higher quality with fewer inks to help lower your printing costs and the cost of replacing your consumables.
