GDS 260gsm Polyester Canvas is the perfect budget roll for producing quality canvas prints on your pigment inkjet printer. The smooth surface and superior inkjet coating offer fantastic quality prints in colour or mono. Whilst this universal canvas will also work well when printed with dye inks, your prints may be susceptible to fading, so pigment ink is ideal. This canvas has good stretching properties and is crack resistant - ideal for mounting using stretcher bars.

WHAT PAPER & MEDIA TYPES YOU CAN USE ON THE CANON PRO-4000 PRINTER...?
GDS stocks a huge range of paper and media in rolls and sheets and we know exactly what fits your Canon PRO-4000 Printer.
The Canon PRO-4000 12 colour Photo Printer can print on a very wide range of media from basic papers, to presentation matt, heavyweight matt, satin or gloss photo paper, backlit film, canvas, fine art papers, roller banner, self adhesive, vinyl and even outdoor banner to name the most popular.
The Canon PRO-4000 can print onto roll paper or you can individually load paper sheets to use sheet media. We much prefer roll feed and we should be able to supply a variety of rolls in your chosen media type.
The Canon PRO-4000 takes rolls on both 2" or 3" inch core (the core is the tube in the centre of the roll) and you will find blue core adaptors that come with the printer. These can be clipped on to the spindle to fill out the 3 inch core rolls.
You don't have to use Canon branded papers on your PRO-4000 printer. You will usually find a 'near enough' media setting on the Canon PRO-4000 media list on the printer display, but you can also use the Media Configuration Tool to download more Canon branded media types or to custom build your own specific paper setting. Likewise, you can also download .icc profiles for this printer if you choose to use fine art brands such as Innova, Canson, Hahnemuhle, PermaJet, Fotospeed etc...

WHAT PAPER SIZES FIT THE CANON PRO-4000 PRINTER...?
The Canon PRO-4000 (44") printer can take rolls up to 44" wide / 1118mm and up to 90mt long (15cms diameter).
Here is an overview of the standard sizes of wide format paper rolls and sheets and the size of prints you can use them for. Sizing varies between traditional CAD sizing where true ISO sheet size is required from rolls, and graphics sizing which is almost always oversized to allow designs with a bleed for trimming. Where a roll accommodates two sizes you can print both by simply turning your print to landscape.
CAD PAPERS FOR TECHNICAL DRAWINGS (NOT USUALLY ASSOCIATED WITH THE PRO-4000, BUT NO REASON WHY NOT!)
- 297mm - this is available in only a few product ranges and is the exact width of the long side of A4 or the short side of A3
- 420mm -this is available in only a few product ranges and is the exact width of the long side of A3 or the short side of A2
- 594mm -this is available in more product ranges and is the exact width of the long side of A2 or the short side of A1
- 610mm - this is readily available in nearly every product range - it is oversize so when printing A2 or A1 scale drawings. You would have a small margin
- 841mm -this is available in a few product ranges and is the exact width of the long side of A1 or the short side of A0
- 914mm - this is readily available in nearly every product range - it is oversize so when printing A1 or A0 scale drawings. You would have a small margin
- 1067mm -this is available in a few CAD products only
- 1118mm - this is not generally available in CAD ranges
- A4, A3, A2, A1 Sheets
GRAPHICS PAPERS FOR PRESENTATION, PHOTOGRAPHIC WORK AND DISPLAY
- 432mm | 17"- oversize A2 / A3 so you can print your design with a bleed and then trim to fit a frame, or use the full size
- 610mm | 24" - oversize A1 / A2 so you can print your design with a bleed and then trim to fit a frame, or use the full size
