GDS Satin 260gsm is a premium quality, instant dry, satin finish, photo paper with a special micro-porous coating provides excellent ink absorption, large colour gamut and improved black definition. GDS Satin 260g has been specially developed for the booming photography and graphic design market this semi gloss finish paper enables you to create photo-realistic prints of impressive colour quality and detail. Thanks to the special ink absorption layer high amounts of ink dries immediately and the print is water resistant. The special properties of this paper also enable you to achieve a large colour gamut and rich black density.
So in basic terms this satin finish photo paper will take a lot of ink for full coverage photos even with dark backgrounds. The invisible inkjet coating layer will grab the wet ink as it hits the page to create a tight, bright and vivid print – the most vivid colours will always be achieved on satin or gloss finish papers.
GDS satin 260gsm photo paper has good lamination properties and therefore can be used for short term outdoor signage if laminated – we would recommend also ideally using pigment inks for printing for this purpose.
Our GDS brand rolls are made for us by outstanding manufacturers including Océ, Canon and Xerox to give you the very best quality at the lowest price possible.

It is used primarily by the architectural / construction design market so it’s perfect for printing plans, layouts, technical drawings, etc, but you can also produce stunning quality presentation designs, portfolios, posters, wallcharts and banners. On photo roll media, you can also print borderless (no margin – print edge to edge) allowing you to print posters and images on the full sheet size.
The Canon iPF670can print on the following media types:
Whether you need iPF670 CAD paper (uncoated basic plain white paper) for printing technical drawings and layouts, iPF670 Presentation paper (coated with a unique inkjet layer to give a higher quality print), iPF670 Heavyweight paper, or iPF670 Photo Paper to make sure your images look tip top, we can pinpoint the roll or sheet pack for you.We have put together a selection of the most popular rolls and sheets for you to choose from, with total peace of mind for excellent print results.
Most of the rolls we suggest for the Canon iPF670 printer are supplied on a 2 inch core (50mm) (this is the tube in the centre of the paper roll which slides onto the printer spindle) – cores come in two standard sizes 50mm (2″) and 76mm (3″) and the Canon iPF670 can handle both 2 and 3 inch cores – just use the core adaptors that come with the printer to use thelarger 3 inch core rolls.
Our iPF670 paper range should give you a paper product that is suitable for any of your print jobs. Our most popular papers are:
The iPF670 is an A1 size (24″) floorstanding printer, one of the smallest A1 printers in the Canon imagePROGRAF wide format range. It can take rolls up to 24″ wide / 610mm and up to 90mt long (15cms diameter). We do have customers using 150mt length rolls in the 80gsm papers, but Canon recommend 90mt to be the longest – this is likely due to the phsyical weight of the roll on the spindle which needs to be turned to feed by the motor. The Canon iPF670 can also handle sheets – these need to be loaded individually. Here is an overview of the standard sizes of wide format paper rolls and sheets and the size of prints you can use them for. Sizing varies between traditional CAD sizing where true ISO sheet size is required from rolls, and graphics sizing which is almost always oversized. Where a roll accommodates 2 sizes you can print both by simply turning your print to landscape.
