Superb quality, bright white, standard grade, uncoated plotter paper rolls for printing colour technical drawings, layouts, maps and plans on the Canon iPF605 large format inkjet printer. This 610mm size is oversize A1 which allows you to print A1 portrait and A2 landscape with a small extra margin when producing scale drawings.
This product is an uncoated plain plotter paper available in both rolls and sheets, perfect for basic drawings in house plans, layouts & CAD work. Our uncoated paper comes in two popular weights.
Traditionally architects and construction firms favoured 80gsm as this grade folded very well and was inexpensive to post with Royal Mail. Nowadays, as plotters have developed and colour work is pretty much standard, we offer two weights seen below:
GDS 80gsm Draft Paper is favoured for black and white linework usually associated with technical drawings and layouts, whilst this 90gsm version is favoured by customers adding colour line work and small fills as it accepts more ink without 'cockling' (warping from too much wet ink). GDS 80gsm Draft Paper is a basic, lightweight, matt surfaced, uncoated paper just like the standard A4 photocopy paper you find in an everyday office printer or copier, just supplied on a roll. It is perfect for check prints, in house plans, and any prints where the basic paper will do.
GDS 90gsm Standard Inkjet Plotter Paper is a smooth matt surfaced, bright white, uncoated paper ideal for in-house drawings, check prints, colour line work, layouts, plans, AutoCAD drawings, maps, and technical drawings. It is a fraction heavier than the 80gsm Draft Paper so our customers prefer it for colour work or where their plans have fills as an everyday value for money paper.
Our GDS brand rolls are made for us by outstanding manufacturers including Océ, Canon, and Xerox to give you the very best quality at the lowest price possible.
GDS stocks a huge range of paper and media in rolls and sheets. We know exactly what fits your Canon iPF605 Printer and what doesn't!
The Canon iPF605 can print on a wide range of media. It is used primarily by the architectural / construction design market so it’s perfect for printing plans, layouts, technical drawings, etc, but you can also produce stunning quality presentation designs, portfolios, posters, wall charts, and banners. The Canon iPF605 also takes board which can be loaded at the front of the machine and printed directly, moving back and then coming back out at the front. Not only this but on roll media, you can also print borderless (no margin - print edge to edge) allowing you to print posters and images on the full sheet size.
The Canon iPF605 has the following media types in the printer front panel display:

Whether you need iPF605 CAD paper (uncoated basic plain white paper) for printing technical drawings and layouts, iPF605 Presentation paper (coated with a unique inkjet layer to give a higher quality print), iPF605 Heavyweight paper, or iPF605 Photo Paper to make sure your images look tip top, we can pinpoint the roll or sheet pack for you. We have put together a selection of the most popular rolls and sheets for you to choose from, with total peace of mind for excellent print results.
Most of the rolls we suggest for the Canon iPf605 printer are supplied on a 2-inch core (50mm) (this is the tube in the centre of the paper roll which slides onto the printer spindle) - cores come in two standard sizes 50mm (2") and 76mm (3") and the Canon iPF605 can handle both 2 and 3-inch cores - just use the core adaptors that come with the printer to use the larger 3-inch core rolls.
Our iPF605 paper range should give you a paper product that is suitable for any of your print jobs. Our most popular papers are:
The iPF605 is an A1 size (24") floor-standing printer, one of the smallest A1 printers in the Canon imagePROGRAF wide format range. It can take rolls up to 24" wide / 610mm and up to 90mt long (15cms diameter). We do have customers using 150mt length rolls in the 80gsm papers, but Canon recommends 90mt to be the longest - this is due to the physical weight of the roll on the spindle which needs to be turned to feed by the motor. The Canon iPF605 can also handle sheets - these need to be loaded individually. As mentioned above the board can also be fed at the front of the machine and printed directly. Here is an overview of the standard sizes of wide format paper rolls and sheets and the size of prints you can use them for. Sizing varies between traditional CAD sizing where true ISO sheet size is required from rolls and graphics sizing which is almost always oversized. Where a roll accommodates 2 sizes you can print both by simply turning your print to landscape.
