TX printers have stormed into the wide format marketplace as Canon's high volume solution to complement models such as the legendary TA-20 (low volume) and TM-200 (mid volume). The development of these new improved Canon TX machines sits beside the current range offering pigmented inks for UV fade resistance and water resistance to prints.
Dual roll capability (RU-22) is an optional feature meaning that if you can take advantage of auto switch between two different media types or sizes. For instance, a satin photo roll and a plain paper roll can both be loaded and different print types can automatically print on the correct roll with no need to physically swap rolls. The dual roll unit can also be used to take up long print runs, which are conveniently stored on the roll for trimming and finishing later. The ultimate mid volume device - Dual Roll can be bought later as a later addition if required, or as your workload increases.
A handy moveable sheet stacker (SS-21) can be added as an optional extra to the dual roll model to further improve high volume output with a range of modes to handle and stack finished prints.
Convenience, speed and superb print quality are offered in one compact machine. We particularly love the super simple paper loading on the TX printers - similar to that of the PRO-series, just guide the leading edge into the feed and shut the door. All the usual expectations from Canon are met - stacks of handy software to make life easy, such as the media configuration tool (for updating and adding paper settings), the accounting tool (for accurately tracking all job costs), free layout tool (for nesting jobs, laying out multiple files on the same roll, adding watermarks, etc) - all these gems come as standard in addition to the standard drivers, firmware and manuals.
Hot swap inks are standard on the Canon TX-series, meaning you can change inks whilst the machine is printing to ensure you get every last drop out of each cartridge without wasting a print midway through.

INKS
The Canon imagePROGRAF TX-2100 Plotter has a five colour pigmented ink system using Matte Black, Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. The TX-2100 printer comes with a generous set of 160ml introductory ink cartridges in the box ready for you to start printing straight away and the replacement ink cartridges are available from stock. ORIGINAL CANON SUPPLIES
The Canon TX-2100 is only intended to be used with genuine Canon cartridges with a Canon original chip. Cartridges using a non-Canon chip may not work and may damage your machine or the printhead. GDS stock the full range of original Canon supplies for the Canon TX-2100.
CONNECTION
The Canon TX-2100 is wireless or can be connected to your network via ethernet cable or to your PC via USB cable. The Canon TX-2100 Printer does not come with a data cable - if you wish to order an Ethernet Cable for connecting the machine to your network or a USB cable for connecting it to your PC we supply 5mt cables which can be added to your order - click HERE
DRIVERS
The Canon TX Series comes with a TX Universal Printer Driver - once this is installed, users can print from any of the TX series printers without the need to obtain and install a different driver for each model, ideal for larger organisations or workgroups sharing Canon TX printers over a network. This also makes it simple to add more TX models, of any size, to the network and amounts to a massive saving of time and effort for users and system administrators. Media type settings can be configured on the printer's operation panel and the suitable print quality settings are applied automatically, with no need to specify the type of media in the printer driver. This automated configuration at the time of printing eliminates inconsistent settings on printers and in the printer driver, enabling an efficient printing environment with the right results every time. MEDIA
The Canon TX-2100 takes paper rolls up to 280gsm from 297mm up to the full width 610mm with 594mm (true A1 sheet size) being a popular choice for printing A1. The TX-2100 can also accept sheets from A4 to A1 although these require individual manual loading so roll feed if preferable for print runs. Using roll feed, each print will be horizontally cut by the automatic cutter to drop into the handy catch basket. The TX-2100 has both 2 inch core & 3 inch core capacity so you can choose from a wide range of media from standard 80 and 90gsm plan paper right up to large 260gsm satin and gloss photo paper rolls. A standard Canon 1 year on-site parts and labour warranty will give peace of mind for anyone wanting the reassurance of Canon on-site support with their TX-2100. If you would like to purchase an extended term up to 5 years you can select one of the MyLFP or Canon Easy Service options from the drop down menu.
