The Z6 has six HP Vivid Photo inks, whilst the Z9+ has nine HP Vivid Photo inks with the option to upgrade to add a HP Gloss Enhancer. HP DesignJet Z6 Postscript Printer Series Features Overview
Perfect for printing maps, CAD plans, technical drawings, client presentations, wall charts, posters and POS material on a variety of medias from 80gsm to 500gsm, the Z6 does this with ease producing high definition detail, high contrast colour and smooth gradients. The HP DesignJet Z6 also makes easy work of complex files with powerful processing architecture, whilst the built in security helps to protect your printer, its data and your documents. Also now in the Z6 series is the Z6 with the dual roll and vertical trimmer- meaning that your post print trimming could now become a thing of the past. With built in densitometer to ensure colour stays accurate time after time.
HP DesignJet Z9+ PostScript Printer Series Features Overview
Designed to deliver professional photo quality with fewer inks at high speeds, the HP DesignJet Z9+ prints 2.5 times faster than than the HP DesignJet Z3200 Photo Printer- without sacrificing quality. HP Vivid Photo inks provide water and fade resistant inks, whilst delivering amazing professional quality prints on photo and speciality papers. Featuring Chromatic Red, Chromatic Blue and Chromatic Green (RGB), as well as Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Matt Black & Photo Black (CMYK (MK & PK)) as well as grey. You can also upgrade to include a Gloss enhancer. This combination enables an expanded colour gamut with true neutral grey. Also now in the Z9+ series is the Z9+ with the dual roll and vertical trimmer- meaning that your post print trimming could now become a thing of the past. With built in Spectrophotometer ensuring the most accurate colour results for colour critical applications.

New HP 746 Printheads with true 2400 nozzle-per-inch high definition nozzle architecture (HDNA), provide twice the nozzle density of the previous HP DesignJet Z-series printheads. Using dual drop technology, high definition HP printheads produce a combination of large drop sizes for robust area fills at fast speeds, while small drop sizes reduce visible grain – eliminating the need for light coloured inks.
Managing all of this with a completely new approach, HP DesignJet Z6 and Z9+ series printers use HP Pixel control to produce sharp details and smooth gradients, even for challenging colour combinations.

Introducing the new Z-Series Vertical Trimmer
Trim long banners or panoramics with ease using the built in Vertical Trimmer (available as an option in the Z6 and Z9+ printer series). Now there is no need to buy in custom roll sizes, you can set the trim to where you need it. Trimmed output will be free from human error, with a quality straight cut.
