The new pigment ink set, LUCIA PRO II, delivers the highest photo print quality of any imagePROGRAF.  This ink has improved the reproduction of darker shades and the black density on fine art papers and expanded the dark areas of the colour gamut to render detailed shades of grey.  The new inks give the printed image a truly realistic, almost 3D-quality appearance, with no loss of colour or detail.

Print free-size borderless.  If you don’t want a border, just say so.  The printer can be instructed to print edge-to-edge on any size roll thanks to a clever built-in sensor that measures the width of your loaded media, so it can print right to the edge as instructed, with no white border, and no wasted media.

The new PRO II ink has a light-resistant pigment that dramatically increases colour fastness, allowing prints to be preserved for up to 200 years without fading.  Improved scratch resistance on photographic papers makes handling, mounting, and finishing easier.

The new Canon PRO series uses simplified settings and easier media handling.  Dual roll capability allows a second roll of a different media type and size to be available at the same time so that you can automatically switch from printing on matte to gloss paper without interrupting the workflow.

The printers also have a user-friendly colour display that shows you the printer status and settings at a glance.
