All of the Baryta papers offer a really traditional photographic feel and have a good weight in the hand. Being a Bartya paper all the above papers are Fibre Based (hence the term FB in many of the names), archival and many meeting ISO standard 9706.?They are mostly 100% Alpha Cellulose, with some being made from a Cotton / Cellulose mix. These materials are naturally acid free.
The D-Max ratings given are a guide as to what can be achieved. Individual results may vary according to the printer and inks used in printing. Most of these?
A note on Whiteness. Whiteness is measured on a scale of 1 – 100 by measuring levels of reflected light. The lower the whiteness reading the creamier / more yellow the colour will be. A level of 100 on the cie Whiteness scale will be a natural, but ‘perfect’ white. When we get readings over 100, this would indicate that OBAs (Optical Brightening Agents) have been used. This in effect causes more light to be reflected than the actual light source emits, hence why the Whiteness levels go off the scale.
PermaJet also do the PermaJet FB Baryta Test Pack, which includes 3 x A4 sheets of all the FB Baryta papers in the range. This is a really handy way of being able to try before you buy so to speak.
