GDS Matt Smooth 300gsm Fine Art Paper is an acid free, matt, heavy weight, smooth (actually very slightly textured),100% cotton, digital inkjet paper giving the appearance of traditional art watercolour paper for producing superb quality art prints on your Canon PRO-2000 where a natural white is required. GDS Fine Art Smooth is also perfect for high quality fine art reproduction and keep sake photography. A fabulous alternative to the more expensive Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308gsm paper.
This product is smoother than the Fine Art Textured version, but it still has a small degree of surface texture compared to truly smooth cheaper papers.
Our GDS Matt Smooth Fine Art Paper is a smooth digital art paper designed to suit the needs of photographers and artists using digital photographic inkjet machines who want to achieve fine art quality. This paper mimicks water colour art paper and provides excellent image sharpness and optimum colour graduation. Made from 100% cotton GDS Matt Smooth 300gsm is a versatile smooth, white, heavyweight, all purpose, matt paper which feels great in the hand and with what we call excellent ‘ping’! quality. A very accommodating best seller. Perfect for fine art reproduction, wedding and emotional or life photography and limited edition prints.
This paper is particularly well placed to stand as an alternative to Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308gsm.
For a more heavily textured surface roll – see our Fine Art Textured 300gsm paper.
NB – we find that whilst this heavyweight roll loads perfectly on single roll Canon PRO-2000 printers, it is not happy being loaded on the second roll on dual roll machines. For easiest loading always leave the band around the roll whilst loading and load on Roll 1.
Our GDS brand rolls are made for us by outstanding manufacturers including Océ, Canon and Xerox to give you the very best quality at the lowest price possible.

Here is an overview of the standard sizes of wide format paper rolls and sheets and the size of prints you can use them for. Where a roll accommodates two sizes you can print both by simply turning your print to landscape.
